Beyond the ordinary
“From Waste to Worth” is not just a project—it is a quiet revolution led by the very women who once stood unseen in the shadows of our waste economy. Today, they stand at the center of change.
Funded by UK International Development and Global Plastic Action, this initiative transforms the plastic value chain into a pathway of dignity, opportunity, and environmental protection. Women who were once treated as invisible laborers are now becoming leaders, trainers, innovators, and community educators in responsible waste management.
Through clean-up drives, skill-building workshops, public campaigns, and the Plastic Hero event, the project refuses to view plastic merely as waste. Instead, it becomes a resource—a symbol of resilience and a catalyst for empowerment. Our beneficiaries don’t just collect plastic; they reshape narratives, inspire communities, and show what sustainable change truly looks like when it is built from the ground up.
This is the story of women turning challenges into worth—of transforming discarded plastic into cleaner cities, stronger livelihoods, and a future where their contributions are finally seen, valued, and celebrated.
